Errors can and do occur every day in every business and in life generally. Often, the aggrieved parties will not tell you of their experience, though they may tell others.
When they do confide in you, it is often no more than a plea to have their feelings acknowledged. This is your opportunity to utter the eight magic words:
“What can I do to make things right?”
Now, there is tremendous power in backing up your verbal discussions in “making things right” with a hand written “Sorry” card. It is written evidence of your acceptance of responsibility for the error and an opportunity to re-iterate the correction process you have put in place.
The following statistics should affirm your thoughts on the power of the “Sorry” card.

The “Sweetener” doesn’t need to be overly expensive and here are some suggestions:
Who to send the “Sorry” card to?
