If you want to be a massive “results-generating” manager or business owner as measured in sales, profits and cash, this could be the most important article you will read. Here’s why:When you routinely implement the following resolutions you will ensure your staff are not just engaged in ACTIVITY…but are focused on RESULTS.
You see, until explained, trained, encouraged and monitored to think otherwise, your staff members genuinely believe they are paid to generate “activity” – but activity that doesn’t generate a “result” is a waste of time. As a manager/business owner you only get paid by the customer when you deliver a result. The following resolutions will assist you to develop a “results-generating” culture and it starts with YOU:

If you want a yardstick by which you can measure your success here, then reverse the process. It’s when all of your staff can make the following seven comments:
Are you up for a challenge? Why not ask your staff to rate you in each of these areas and more importantly to give you feedback where improvement is required? I’ll guarantee you will be gob-smacked by what you learn.
“At the very least take the opportunity to explain, in detail, to your staff the incredible difference between RESULTS and ACTIVITY. Get them to understand implicitly that the only thing a customer wants is a RESULT and said customer couldn’t give a hoot about the ACTIVITY which went into generating the RESULT.
Also, all staff should be able to answer this one simple question (but many cannot):
Who pays your wages?
ANSWER: The CUSTOMER…and s/he will only do so when the desired RESULT has been delivered.”
