In most instances, a consultant advises a client what to do. The advice is usually in the form of a report for which the consultant gets paid his or her fee and then sets off for the next assignment. No involvement and usually, no further interaction.

So, the manager now has a consultant’s report containing a number of recommendations with which the manager may not necessarily have been involved in and/or agree with the findings.

When we start a coaching assignment we will agree upfront on the objectives and the outcomes. How Does The Damien Parker Coaching Work?

Straight up, please understand that coaching is not a “one-tool-fits-all” scenario.

Every assignment varies depending upon what YOU want to achieve and when.

For most coaching assignments, however, the backbone approach is much the same and consists of these parts:

(1) The initial review

I use a very detailed diagnostic tool which I have developed over the past thirty years to analyse your current position and where the opportunities and threats may rest.

This review is performed when you undertake the detailed, yet, easy-to-complete diagnostic of approx 60 pages. It’s largely a tick-answer system and will take you approximately two hours to complete.

I’ll then review your responses and point out many matters of interest and concern. Then, you and I will spend approximately two hours examining all of this material and working out a coaching assignment that is designed to capture maximum extra sales, profits and cash in as quick a time frame as is possible.

Truly, this review is powerful in its own right…I guarantee it.

(2) The Coaching Assignment

For most coaching assignments, we will then have a weekly coaching session of one hour each week at a set time. This is usually conducted on a Tuesday or Wednesday and is always conducted via the phone which, after much experience, works extremely well when you follow the rules of the coaching session.

Each coaching session will abide by an agenda which is set by both of us in advance. The intention is to discuss each matter, look at available options and then, make a decision. More particularly, you make the decision!

All decisions are documented and are followed up each week to ensure they are carried out.

At all times, my job as Coach is to cut the waffle, keep the conversation focused and lead you, the Coachee, to the right decision by use of smart questions.

At the end of each session, the coaching session notes are emailed to you and from there, it’s expected that you will do what you have undertaken to do. Otherwise, why bother with coaching?

The Costs

Straight up, I’ll tell you I am expensive and there won’t be that many businesses who can afford my services.

To be sure, I am much more expensive than your average suburban accountant because I have much more practical experience at getting results…and for the record, I also have the accumulated assets to attest to this fact.

As per my 120% money back guarantee, I expect to be judged on only one criterion – results.

I haven’t had to make a refund yet which attests to the quality of what I do, but I am very serious about this and I challenge all other consultants, coaches and advisors to offer a similar strong guarantee of performance.

The Standard Coaching Program

Most of my clients elect for the standard coaching contract which gives them an hour of structured, organized coaching every week. During these sessions we will undertake a myriad of tasks which will arise from time to time, as well as tackling the standard revenue generating opportunities as will be highlighted by the Business Diagnostic process.

This is a standard twelve monthly contract but you can elect out at any stage if you believe I am not getting the results or alternatively, give three months notice of your changed circumstances and we can terminate the contract.

Truly I am flexible and my primary interest is making sure you get value for money, but this assumes that you too, are dead-set keen on making our association a winner and that you will do your part as well. Currently, the standard coaching contract is $1,995 per month plus GST (in Australia).

There is the standard up-front and once-off application fee of $1,500 plus GST (in Australia) and for this I will perform the Business Diagnostic Analysis which will highlight opportunities and threats to the business. This service is usually valued at $3,000 and I know you will be pleasantly impressed at the opportunity it will highlight for future sales, profits and cash.

The Mini Coaching Package

The mini coaching package costs around $895 + GST (in Australia) each month and for this we will have a detailed one hour consultation at the start of each month. The clear intention of this package is to provide direction for the business owner/manager for the month ahead and this is done by using our standard systems which highlight goals and analyse key performance indicators.

Plus, each month we will tackle one area of the business that requires looking at and this is done by you completing select questionnaires on the state of the business and forwarding them to me before the coaching session.
